Adventure starts with Cub Scouting, a year-round family program designed for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade, or 5 to 10 years of age. Cub Scouts emphasize shared leadership, learning about the community, family understanding, character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Kids grow up fast… give them a valuable gift by enrolling them in Cub Scouting today.
Pack 252 is based in Cherry Hill, NJ, and has been providing the adventure of Cub Scouting to the youth of the community for more than 50 years. Our Pack is chartered through American Legion Post 372 of Cherry Hill (1532 Martin Avenue), and we are a member of the Pine Hill District of the Garden State Council. We welcome children from any school in the community to join our pack; however, most Scouts in our pack usually attend Joyce Kilmer, Clara Barton, Kingston, or Thomas Paine Elementary Schools, or Christ Our Light Catholic School. (We are a multi-faith Pack and stress understanding and respect of all traditions.)
During our weekly meetings, we work in Dens to earn the required adventures in the Scouting program. Miss a meeting; don't stress! The Scout Motto is "Do Your Best!" You can work on any activity with your family at your convenience and record your completion in the ScoutBook online portal.
Monthly Pack activities may include; Family Camping, Hiking, Popcorn Fundraiser, Scouting for Food Drive, Marching in the Merchantville Holiday Parade, Pinewood Derby, Rain Gutter Regatta, Space Rocket Derby, Science Night, Craft Night, Game Night, Sleepovers at the Battleship New Jersey, Franklin Institute, Academy of Natural Sciences and Camden Aquarium, Blue and Gold Banquet, Summer Day Camp, and Family Pool Day.
If these activities sound like fun to your son or daughter and s/he wants to join our pack, orif you have any questions, please send an email to CherryHillPack252@gmail.com
